RESERVA DRACULA

EcoMinga Foundation

EcoMinga Foundation q The Foundation is an Ecuadorian, non-governmental nonprofit organization (NGO), established in Ecuador through an agreement No. 5 of the Ministry of Environment in 2005.
Its goal is identifying and protecting areas of high biodiversity and endemism, mainly on the eastern flank of the Andes, in the center of the country. Based on scientific evaluation, the foundation has established 12 conservation areas. It is dedicated to the conservation of the unique forests of Andean foothills, cloud forests and paramos.

The reserves q Almost 8000 hectares nationwide are covered in a private conservation model, which establishes the maintenance of forests in perpetuity. The reserves protect a great variety of forests and paramos in an elevation from 800–3860 m.
